On a main bathing day, last time
- 2021 In 2021 the mela's traffic plan had three levels of rules: for normal days, for main bathing days and for Shahi Snan days. Bathing-day traffic limits were in force on about 35 days of the mela.
- 2021 For the Shahi Snans of 12 and 14 April 2021, no vehicles were to enter Haridwar city from 8 to 15 April. Vehicles were sent to outer parking by the direction they came from, and shuttle buses were planned.
- 2021 Light vehicles from Delhi were turned off the highway at Purkazi and sent through Khanpur and Laksar to Dakshdweep parking. Traffic from Dehradun and Rishikesh was parked at Dudhiyaband, Motichur, Shantikunj and Saptrishi.
- 2021 The 2021 police plan gave the walk from parking to the ghats: about 300 metres from Dudhiyaband, about 500 metres from Shantikunj and Saptrishi, 450 metres to 2 km from Daksh parking, and about 1 to 4 km from the BHEL-area parking.
- 2021 On the Shahi Snan days of 2021, ordinary pilgrims could reach Har Ki Pauri only until 7 am. After that it was kept for the akhara processions, and barricaded walking routes were set from each area.
- 2021 Pilgrims going on to Rishikesh, Neelkanth or Swargashram after their bath were sent from Motichur parking by state or shuttle bus.
- 2021 On bathing days in Rishikesh in 2021, large vehicles were not allowed beyond Virbhadra barrage towards Swargashram and Neelkanth, two-wheelers were barred on the Ram Jhula and Janki bridges, and pilgrims parked on Kotwali Road and walked to the ghats.
- 2027 No traffic plan for Kumbh 2027 has been published. On 20 October 2026 the official map showed 24 proposed parking points, with no dates or rules.

Good to know
- Back from Rishikesh: NTES listed four daily trains from Yog Nagari Rishikesh to Haridwar, the last leaving at 20:55 (13010 Doon Express, reaching Haridwar at 22:03). The other listed trains run only on some days.
- No official source publishes opening hours for the Haridwar or Rishikesh temples in this plan, so the times are left empty. Check at the temple.
