Independent Kumbh knowledge guide
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how KumbhMela.info handles personal data. The website is operated by TravNext Tech Private Limited as an independent Kumbh information platform. It does not provide user accounts, bookings or payments.
Plain-language summary: You can read the public site without creating an account. The shipped website uses only operational WordPress, hosting and security data by default. If you send a correction, the information you submit is used to review and answer that message. Non-essential analytics are not enabled by the KumbhMela.info packages.
Who is responsible for the data
TravNext Tech Private Limited is responsible for the KumbhMela.info website and the processing described here. Privacy requests can be submitted through the Contact and Corrections page. That route is also used to report inaccurate personal data or request deletion of a correction message.
Information we process
When you browse
The web server, hosting platform and security systems may process an IP address, requested URL, time, browser or device information, referring page and technical error details. This information is used to serve the website, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and maintain security.
Public visitors do not need a KumbhMela.info account. WordPress may set essential cookies for administrators, editors, language preference or security. The release packages do not intentionally add advertising cookies, behavioural profiling or cross-site tracking.
When you send a correction
The correction form asks for the affected page, your explanation and, where available, a supporting source URL. Name and email are optional unless you want a reply. Do not submit passwords, government-ID images, payment information, medical records or another person’s private information.
The KumbhMela.info plugin does not create a public-facing correction database. The message is sent through WordPress email to the site administrator. Hosting and email systems may temporarily process delivery records.
Why we use the information
We use personal data only for purposes connected with operating the information service:
- deliver pages and remember an essential language or editor setting;
- protect the site and investigate technical abuse;
- diagnose errors and maintain availability;
- assess a correction, source submission or rights request;
- reply when contact information was voluntarily provided;
- meet legal obligations and protect users from demonstrably harmful misinformation.
Where consent is the appropriate basis, you may withdraw it. Other processing may be necessary to provide a requested response, operate a secure website or comply with law.
Cookies and analytics
The distributed KumbhMela.info theme and setup plugin do not enable non-essential analytics. WordPress, Polylang, Elementor, Yoast or the hosting environment may use cookies or local storage that are necessary for administration, language handling, security or requested functionality.
If analytics, advertising, embedded media or another non-essential service is enabled later, this policy and the consent controls must be updated before that service is used for public visitors.
Processors and external services
The live site may rely on a WordPress host, domain and DNS provider, security or backup provider, and an email-delivery service. They process only the information necessary for their service and under the owner’s chosen account terms. The current provider inventory must be maintained by the site owner when hosting or mail services change.
Links to government authorities, cultural institutions and Tirth.com open third-party websites with their own privacy practices. KumbhMela.info does not receive booking or payment details submitted on Tirth.com.
Retention
The default operational schedule is:
| Record | Default period | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Routine server and security logs under our control | Up to 30 days | Security and troubleshooting |
| Rotating site backups under our control | Up to 90 days | Recovery and continuity |
| Correction or source-submission email | Up to 12 months after resolution | Audit trail and repeat-error prevention |
| Confirmed legal or security record | As required by applicable law | Legal compliance or dispute handling |
Providers may keep shorter or legally required records under their own terms. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance. Submit the request through Contact and Corrections and identify the message or interaction concerned. We may need limited information to verify that the request relates to you.
Security
We use reasonable access controls, updates, backups and operational safeguards appropriate to this informational website. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information that the form does not request.
Children's privacy
The site provides general public information and is not designed to collect children’s personal data. A parent or guardian may use the privacy request route if a child has submitted personal information.
