The Basant Panchami snan of Haridwar Kumbh 2027 falls on Thursday 11 February 2027. It is one of the eleven bathing days on the official Haridwar Kumbh website, not an Amrit Snan.
Basant Panchami is the fifth day of the bright half of Magha. It marks the coming of spring and is kept across India as the day of Saraswati, goddess of learning. Many families wear yellow and bathe before the day's prayers.

What happens on the day
- Before the day: road diversions and parking are announced by the district police shortly before each big bathing day; none had been published for 11 February when we checked.
- The tithi: Magha Shukla Panchami prevails at sunrise and lasts until 3:18 am on 12 February, by the Tirth panchang for Haridwar.
- Through the day: the official Haridwar Kumbh website says temples are decorated and special prayers and devotional songs are offered on Vasant Panchami. No programme has been published yet.
