Nashik Kumbh Dates and Schedule Status
Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 is officially in preparation for Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. A Maharashtra government-resolution index refers to the event in August 2027, but the official sources reviewed on 15 July 2026 did not provide a complete public schedule of individual snan dates, processions, opening/closing dates or time slots.
Information status: Awaiting official confirmation. Do not treat predicted dates, 2015–16 dates, undated posters or travel-seller calendars as the official 2027 schedule. Last reviewed: 15 July 2026.
Confirmed dates table
| Date information | Current value | Status | Source basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Event year | 2027 | Official planning confirmed | NTKMA institutional page |
| Month-level planning reference | August 2027 | Verified from an official source; incomplete as a schedule | Government-resolution index |
| Individual snan dates | Not published in the reviewed official sources | Awaiting official confirmation | Official portal review on 15 July 2026 |
| Opening and closing dates | Not published in the reviewed official sources | Awaiting official confirmation | Official portal review on 15 July 2026 |
| Akhara procession timetable | Not published in the reviewed official sources | Awaiting official confirmation | Official portal review on 15 July 2026 |
The August wording appears in the title of a government item about land acquisition for required highway works. It is valid evidence of a month-level planning reference. It is not evidence that every ritual, camp or public operation begins and ends within that month.
Provisional or expected information
This page does not publish an unofficial provisional date table. A calculated astrological date, a news forecast or a commercial booking calendar can be wrong or can refer to only one ceremony. Publishing one beside an official-looking table would confuse readers.
If the responsible authority later labels a schedule provisional, it can appear here with that exact label, source and review date. Until then, empty certainty is safer than a persuasive guess.
What has not yet been announced for publication
The official sources reviewed did not provide:
- the complete event start and end dates;
- named principal or ceremonial snan dates;
- Nashik-versus-Trimbakeshwar group or day allocations for 2027;
- procession departure, arrival or bathing times;
- ghat opening and closing windows;
- public entry, registration or pass rules;
- event rail, bus, shuttle and parking schedules;
- final emergency, medical and accessibility service schedules.
This is a statement about the reviewed public official sources, not about internal or unpublished government planning.
How Nashik Kumbh dates are determined
The Nashik–Trimbakeshwar tradition is associated with location-specific astrological conditions and with Simha, or Leo, in local official explanation. That context explains the name Simhastha and the religious calendar. It does not authorise KumbhMela.info to calculate and announce ceremonial dates.
For the broader cycle, read Kumbh cycle and timing. The event authority’s dated calendar must control the 2027 schedule.
Why an old schedule cannot be reused
The previous Nashik–Trimbakeshwar edition identified by the district source was held in 2015–16. Its bathing dates, routes, akhara allocations, traffic controls and helplines are archived. A repeating tradition does not mean the civil calendar, public infrastructure or operating plan repeats unchanged.
The same rule applies to Prayagraj 2025 material. It may demonstrate how an authority labels a confirmed schedule, but none of its dates or contacts belongs on this page.
Planning implications
You can prepare without pretending the calendar is complete:
- Understand the difference between Nashik and Trimbakeshwar through the ghats and sacred geography guide.
- Compare flexible travel approaches in How to reach.
- Avoid assuming a non-refundable stay matches a principal day until an official schedule is available.
- Recheck transport, access, safety and weather information close to travel.
- Save the source URL or notice date when sharing a schedule with family.

Update history
| Review date | Change | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 15 July 2026 | Verified the authority’s 2027 event identity and the government-resolution index’s August 2027 reference; found no complete individual-day schedule on the reviewed official portal | Current |
When a schedule changes, the old row must remain in this history with its previous source and superseded status. The English and Hindi tables, metadata and any Event schema must be reviewed together.

Frequently asked questions
Is Nashik Kumbh in August 2027?
An official government-resolution index refers to a Kumbh Mela in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar in August 2027. That is the current month-level official reference, but it is not the complete public schedule.
What are the main snan dates?
They were not available as a complete official list in the sources reviewed on 15 July 2026. We will not publish predicted dates as confirmed.
Can I use the 2015 Nashik Kumbh dates?
No. Those dates and arrangements are archived and do not determine the 2027 civil calendar or operating plan.
Why is Event schema not active?
The page does not yet have sufficient officially confirmed individual dates and event-location details. Placeholder or invented machine-readable dates would mislead search engines and readers.
