Contact and Corrections
Use this page to tell us about a mistake, send us a newer source from the authority in charge, or explain why a Kumbh claim needs another look. The most useful messages name the exact page and sentence, and link to proof from the authority in charge.
Your privacy comes first: The form at the end of this page sends your message by email to the website's admin address. It uses a security check, a hidden spam trap and a short wait between messages, and it does not create a public list of messages. Delivery depends on the website's hosting or mail service.
How to contact us
Use the correction form at the end of this page. It works in English and Hindi. You only need to give your name and email if you want a reply.
Do not send corrections for KumbhMela.info to a government office, unless you mean to contact that office directly. Do not use Tirth.com’s booking or yatri support channels to report errors on this website. The two products do different jobs.
How to report an error
Please include:
- the full address (URL) of the KumbhMela.info page;
- the exact sentence, table row, date, link or image description you are asking about;
- why it looks wrong, unclear or out of date;
- the correction you suggest;
- a direct link to the body that issued the information, or the strongest source you have;
- the date the source was published or updated, if it shows one.
If the problem depends on timing, also tell us when you checked the source. Please do not send only a screenshot when there is a direct link to the authority’s own page.
Corrections log
Every correction we have made to a fact on this guide, newest first.
- Haridwar, Dev Doli (Mon 15 Mar 2027)
The tithi now reads Phalguna Shukla Saptami, from the Tirth panchang. The page had shown a working note instead of the tithi.
- Prayagraj, Mahashivratri (Sat 6 Mar 2027)
The tithi now reads Phalguna Krishna Trayodashi at sunrise. The calendar had shown the festival name in the tithi column.
- Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, closing day
The Kumbh Mela Authority's plan gives Saturday 29 July 2028 for Nashik and Monday 24 July 2028 for Trimbakeshwar. We had given only the Nashik date.
- Nashik, official channels
We removed an X account we could not verify and now point to the Simhastha section of the Divisional Commissioner's website and its X account, @divcomnashik.
- Fares and prices, every page
We removed all fares, fees and prices. They change often and we could not keep them right; each page now says where to check the current figure.
- Haridwar 2027 bathing days
The official Haridwar Kumbh website lists eleven bathing days and four Amrit Snans, including Dev Doli on 15 March 2027. Our pages had followed an April 2026 report of ten days and three Amrit Snans.
How to send a new source or update
For a new notice from an authority, tell us:
- who issued it;
- its title and direct link;
- the date it was published or updated;
- the event year and place;
- which KumbhMela.info page or claim it affects;
- whether it replaces an older one.
An approved project, a meeting agenda or a news report can show that planning has started. It does not prove that a facility is finished or open. Tell us exactly what the source supports.
Which errors do we fix first?
We give top priority to:
- a wrong or old event date or snan date;
- an unsafe route, closure or entry instruction;
- wrong emergency or medical information;
- a registration, fee or entry rule with no source behind it;
- a false claim about easy access or help for visitors;
- the wrong name or description of an authority, place, river, ghat or religious body;
- a privacy, dignity, image-rights or legal problem.
If someone is in danger right now, contact local emergency services and the event authority. KumbhMela.info is not an emergency service. We cannot take calls for urgent help or send anyone to help.
What happens after you send a message?
- Our editors check your messageThey check whether it is specific, current, from a trusted source and about the claim in question.
- They compare it with other sourcesThey can compare several sources and contact the body that issued the information where they can.
- They update the page, or note why notThey can update our list of sources or change the information label on the page. They can also leave the page as it is and note the reason in our own records.
What not to send
Please do not send:
- passwords, one-time codes (OTPs) or account logins;
- Aadhaar, passport or full government ID images, or payment details;
- medical records or health details we do not need;
- another person’s private address or identity details;
- private, copyrighted or restricted documents you are not allowed to share;
- abusive, threatening, illegal or spam messages.
A source link and a short explanation are usually enough. If the form ever accepts attachments, we will first set clear rules on file type, file size, how long we keep files and who can see them.
Privacy
The form collects only the page you are writing about and your correction. If you choose, it also takes a source, your name and your email. It emails your message to the website’s admin address. It does not save messages in a database on our website. Hosting and email companies can handle delivery data, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Our legal research covers India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and its final 2025 Rules, including when they take effect. If we change our use of analytics, outside service providers, form storage or how long we keep data, we will update the privacy policy.
