Contact and Corrections

Use this page to report an error, submit a newer authoritative source or explain why a Kumbh claim needs review. A useful submission identifies the exact page and statement and links to evidence from the responsible authority.

Privacy-first contact: The form below sends your message to the WordPress administrator address. It uses a security token, a hidden spam trap and short rate limiting, and the KumbhMela.info plugin does not create a public submission database. Email delivery still depends on the site’s hosting or configured mail service.

Contact options

Use the secure English–Hindi correction form below. Name and email are optional unless you want a reply. The site owner can change the recipient through the standard WordPress administrator email setting; no address is hardcoded into the theme or plugin.

Do not send KumbhMela.info corrections to a government authority unless you intend to contact that authority directly. Do not use Tirth.com’s booking or yatri-support channels as the editorial correction route; the products have separate roles.

Report an error

Include:

  1. the full KumbhMela.info page URL;
  2. the exact sentence, table row, date, link or image description in question;
  3. why it appears incorrect, unclear or outdated;
  4. the correction you suggest;
  5. a direct link to the issuing authority or strongest available source;
  6. the source publication/update date, if visible.

For a time-sensitive problem, also state when you checked the source. Avoid screenshots alone when a direct official URL is available.

Submit a source or update

For a new official notice, provide:

  • issuing authority;
  • notice title and direct URL;
  • publication/update date;
  • event year and location;
  • which KumbhMela.info page or claim it affects;
  • whether it supersedes an older notice.

A project approval, meeting agenda or media report may show that planning exists without proving that a facility is complete or open. Explain the exact claim the source supports.

High-priority correction types

These receive the strongest editorial priority:

  • wrong or stale event/snān date;
  • unsafe route, closure or access instruction;
  • incorrect emergency or medical information;
  • unsupported registration, fee or entry rule;
  • false accessibility or assistance claim;
  • wrong identity of an authority, location, river, ghat or religious institution;
  • privacy, dignity, image-rights or legal issue.

If someone is in immediate danger, use the current local emergency and event-authority channels. KumbhMela.info is not an emergency service and cannot receive or dispatch urgent assistance.

What not to send

Do not submit:

  • passwords, one-time codes or account credentials;
  • Aadhaar, passport, full government-ID images or payment data;
  • medical records or unnecessary health details;
  • private addresses or identity details of another person;
  • confidential, copyrighted or restricted documents you are not allowed to share;
  • abusive, threatening, unlawful or spam content.

A source URL and concise explanation are normally enough. If a later production form permits an attachment, its type, size, retention and access controls must be documented first.

Review process

The editorial team checks whether the submission is specific, current, authoritative and relevant to the claim. It may compare multiple sources, contact the issuing authority where practical, update the source registry, change the public status label or leave the statement unchanged with an explanation in the internal record.

Submitting a correction does not transfer copyright, guarantee publication or create a promise of individual response. No response-time commitment is approved for launch. Critical safety/date issues are prioritised once a monitored channel is operational.

Privacy and misuse notice

The form collects only the affected page, correction and optional source, name and email. It emails the message to the WordPress administrator and does not create a KMI submission database. Hosting and email providers may process delivery data as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and final 2025 Rules/enforcement timeline are included in the legal research record. The privacy notice must be updated if analytics, processors, form storage or retention changes.

Read the Sources and Editorial Policy before submitting evidence and the Terms and Disclaimer for website-use boundaries.

Sources and review status

Reviewed 15 July 2026. Workflow boundary: SRC-KMI-PRODUCT-001. Legal research sources: SRC-DPDP-ACT-001 and SRC-DPDP-RULES-001. The packaged form is functional; production owners should still confirm that one real test message reaches the WordPress administrator address.
