Haridwar Kumbh 2027 Dates and Confirmation Status

Haridwar Kumbh 2027 runs from Thursday 14 January to Tuesday 20 April 2027, with eleven main bathing days. Four of them are Amrit Snans, the main ceremonial days: 6 March, 8 March, 15 March and 14 April 2027.

The dates come from the official Haridwar Kumbh website and a Press Trust of India report of the Haridwar mela administration's announcement on 14 April 2026. We have not yet found a government notice that lists them, and bathing times are not out yet.

Three or four Amrit Snans?

The mela administration’s April 2026 announcement named three Amrit Snans. The official Haridwar Kumbh website now lists four: it adds Dev Doli on Monday 15 March 2027. We follow the official website and will change this page if a government notice says something different.

Kumbh or Ardh Kumbh?

State government releases say Haridwar Kumbh 2027. Nagar Nigam Haridwar, the city council, describes an Ardh Kumbh every six years, and the April 2026 report calls it the Ardh Kumbh Mela. You will see both names for this event. On this page we keep each source’s own wording.

How to plan around these dates

  • Pick your bathing day first, then book a stay and travel you can cancel or change.
  • On the Amrit Snans the akharas take their ceremonial bath. Crowd and road controls are often tightest on such days, so check the mela administration’s latest updates before you set out.
  • Learn about the Haridwar ghats and holy places, compare ways to reach Haridwar and weigh up where to stay.

Before you trust a date list, ask

  • Does it come from the mela administration or another named authority?
  • Does it clearly name Haridwar and 2027?
  • Does the page show when it was published?
  • Does it keep the bathing days apart from the wider event period?
  • Has a newer announcement replaced it?

Update history

  • 16 October 2026: Added Dev Doli, Monday 15 March 2027, which the official website lists as an Amrit Snan.
  • 15 October 2026: Added the ten bathing days announced by the mela administration (PTI, 14 April 2026). The page now marks these dates as provisional.
  • 19 September 2026: The page gave only the January to April 2027 window from the Uttarakhand government release of 23 February 2026, and said single bathing days were not out yet.
