Before paying for travel or accommodation, separate a date claim from the evidence behind it. Kumbh planning often appears publicly before a complete bathing-day schedule, route plan or visitor advisory is issued.
Use a three-level verification check
- Find the issuing authority. Prefer the current event authority, state or district administration, police, transport operator or another body responsible for the notice.
- Open the original notice. A screenshot, forwarded list or booking page may omit the publication date, revision note or location.
- Check the precision. “The event is planned for 2027,” “August 2027,” and “bathing at 05:00 on a named day” are three different levels of confirmation.
The Nashik–Trimbakeshwar authority confirms active preparation for Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027, and an indexed government resolution refers to August 2027. That does not by itself confirm every bathing date or public operating detail. Use the live dates and schedule-status page for the current evidence boundary.
Red flags in a date list
- no issuing authority or direct source link;
- an old Kumbh year presented as the next schedule;
- every date labelled “official” without a publication reference;
- a calendar that combines expected astrology with an administrative programme;
- pressure to book immediately because a forwarded date is “final.”
Save evidence with your plan
Keep the notice title, publisher, URL and the date you checked it. Recheck before a cancellation deadline and again close to travel. If a new notice changes the plan, keep the older copy only as an archived record—not as current guidance.
For the wider method, read the Sources and Editorial Policy. KumbhMela.info labels uncertain information instead of converting an expectation into a confirmed date.
