The official Haridwar Kumbh website lists eleven bathing days, from Thursday 14 January to Tuesday 20 April 2027, with Amrit Snans on 6 March, 8 March, 15 March and 14 April. Treat them as provisional: we have not found a formal dated notice, and the list has already changed once since the April 2026 announcement.
Update, 16 October 2026: the official Haridwar Kumbh website now lists eleven bathing days and four Amrit Snans. It adds Dev Doli on Monday 15 March 2027 and calls 14 April the main (Pramukh) Amrit Snan.
What has been announced
In April 2026, Mela Officer Sonika Singh announced the bathing days for a four-month mela from January to April 2027, according to a Press Trust of India report. A Uttarakhand government release from February 2026 also describes the event at month level, as January to April 2027. On 12 October 2026 the state launched the official website, haridwarkumbh.uk.gov.in, along with a logo and an official song.
These are the eleven days on the official website. The tithis are from the Tirth panchang at sunrise, not from the mela administration. 15 March was not in the April 2026 announcement, and its tithi has not been checked yet.

Where sources differ
- How many Amrit Snans. The April 2026 announcement named three: 6 March, 8 March and 14 April. The official website now lists four, adding Dev Doli on 15 March. After the Chief Minister met the Akhara Parishad in November 2025, one newspaper, Daily Jagran, listed 20 April as an Amrit Snan; the official website lists it as an ordinary bathing day.
- The official website. The new Haridwar Kumbh website shows its own list of snan dates. When we read it on 16 October 2026, it marked four days as Amrit Snans, including one day that is not in the April announcement. We found no dated notice explaining the difference. Until one settles it, treat the Amrit Snan list as not final.
- The name. PTI calls the 2027 event an Ardh Kumbh. The state government calls it Haridwar Kumbh 2027. Both mean the same mela.
What is not announced yet
- The order and times in which the akharas bathe on each Amrit Snan.
- Road closures, parking and shuttle arrangements for the bathing days.
- Which ghats will be open to the public on the busiest days.
- Special trains and extra buses.
The official website shows the same morning time window for every bathing day. Do not plan around it until a notice confirms the timings for each day.
How to plan with provisional dates
The January to April window is firm enough to start planning. The single days are not yet backed by a formal notice, so book travel and stays you can cancel or change. If you want an Amrit Snan, plan around 6 March, 8 March, 15 March and 14 April, and check again closer to the time. Amrit Snan days usually draw the most pilgrims; follow police and mela instructions on the day.
