The official logo of Haridwar Kumbh 2027 is a round emblem showing the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri at sunrise, with the Dhanush bridge, a statue of Shiva, a sadhu, the trident and damru, and the hills of Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi. The official song is called “Kumbh Ka Parv Aa Gaya”. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched both on Monday 12 October 2026, together with the official website.
What was launched, and when
The launch took place in the auditorium of the Mela Control Building (CCR) in Haridwar, according to Navbharat Live and an ANI report of the same day. The Chief Minister released three things together: the logo, the song and the website, haridwarkumbh.uk.gov.in.
As Navbharat Live reported it, he said the logo gives the mela its own visual identity, the website will carry information to devotees in India and abroad, and the song will be a way to connect people with the event. The state plans to use the logo on Kumbh publicity material, publications and digital platforms. When we checked on 16 October 2026, it already sat in the header of every page of the official website, next to the Government of Uttarakhand emblem.
What the logo shows
News reports of the launch list the elements of the logo. The image on the official website matches them.
Reading the logo from the top
- A line of text in DevanagariRuns around the top edge. The state has not published an explanation of it.
- The sunriseA large sun rises over the river, and its light falls on the water.
- The Dhanush bridgeAn arched iron bridge crosses the river. Reports name it as the Dhanush bridge.
- The two hill shrinesWooded hills with temples on top stand on both sides. Reports identify them as the hills of Maa Mansa Devi and Maa Chandi Devi.
- Har Ki Pauri and the ghatsStone steps and small temples line the left bank.
- A sadhu at the riverA sadhu in saffron, seen from behind, pours water from a pot into the Ganga.
- ShivaA large blue statue of Shiva holding a trident stands on a pedestal by the river, on the right.
- Trident and damruTwo tridents, each with a damru and saffron ribbons, frame the lower edge.
- The name“कुंभ 2027” in large letters, above a band of blue waves with a lotus at the base.
Saffron, orange and gold dominate, with blue for the waves. According to Navbharat Live, the design is meant to reflect Haridwar’s spiritual importance and the Sanatan tradition.
Who designed it, and who made the song
The mela administration invited designs from young people and students across Uttarakhand. A selection committee went through hundreds of entries, shortlisted 13 and chose the design of Madhu Sharma, a resident of Jagjeetpur in Haridwar, according to ANI and the Free Press Journal.
The song was written, composed and sung by Raghav Raja, a singer from Haridwar, according to the same reports. They describe it as a song about the joy of the Kumbh’s arrival, the enthusiasm of the sadhus and saints, and the faith of devotees. We have not reproduced its words. On 16 October 2026 we did not find the song on the official website, and we found no official channel that publishes it.

What it means for you
- The logo marks the state’s own material, but it can be copied. A poster, page or forwarded message is not official just because it carries the logo. Check the web address: the official website ends in uk.gov.in.
- Use the official website for dates and notices. Its bathing-day list is the one to plan around, and it is still provisional. Our Haridwar Kumbh 2027 updates page logs each announcement with its date and source.
- Do not pay because of a logo. A camp, package or “pass” that uses the Kumbh logo is not endorsed by the state unless the state says so. Read Is this Kumbh booking real? and Kumbh scams: fake camps, fake passes before you pay anyone.
What is still not known
- Where the official recording of the song will be published.
- Whether Uttarakhand will issue rules on who may use the logo. Maharashtra’s Kumbh Mela Authority has published an “authorized name and logo” page for the Nashik Simhastha; we found no similar page for Haridwar.
- An official reading of the Devanagari line at the top of the logo.
We will add these when the state publishes them. For the dates, the ghats and travel, start with the Haridwar Kumbh 2027 guide.
