Is This Kumbh Booking Real? Six Checks Before You Pay
Fake camp, tent and hotel offers appear before every big mela, often with the word "official" on them. Answer six questions about the booking in front of you and see the warning signs. Your answers stay on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere.
The helpline and official websites below were checked on 16 October 2026.
No checker can prove that a booking is genuine. It can only show what to ask before you pay. When the authority in charge of a Kumbh publishes its list of approved camps and stays, check against that list first.
Six checks
1Does the seller give a full name, a street address and a GST number?
2Is the price written down, with what is and is not included?
3Are you asked to pay only to a personal UPI ID or bank account?
4Is there a written cancellation policy?
5Does it say "official" or "government approved" without a link to the authority's own list?
6Are you being rushed with "only today" or "last few tents"?
